Future Forward Fall 2020!

Welcome to Future Forward, and all the exciting new reading adventures in front of you and your family! Like many things this year, Future Forward is trying some new features and we’re excited for how they may help our program better serve your child and be more accessible for everyone no matter where you are.

If you’re not already familiar with us, Future Forward is a reading program that has been proven to help young people improve their reading skills. While in Future Forward, children receive one-on-one reading instruction every week throughout the school year with a trained literacy tutor. Throughout the year, families will get a monthly newsletter, special invitations to monthly family events, free books, study aids to help children practice skills at home, regular outreach to learn about your child’s successes, and much more.

1:  Fill out THIS FORM consenting to allow us to share your student’s information with your school and our evaluation team and enroll your child in the program. Or download the form and return a completed copy to your local Future Forward team.

2: Fill out your community’s evaluation team consent form you can FIND HERE to allow our evaluation team to include your child’s data in our study.

3:  Work with your school, Future Forward team, or on your own to help your child complete the Star Early Literacy assessment at the link we will send you once you’ve completed steps 1 and 2.

That’s it! Every child whose family completes the above three steps will receive access to the online myON reader library for the entire school year. Students most in need of reading assistance based on their Star Early Literacy scores may also be randomly selected to receive Future Forward reading services.
